I thought the Bloodline ram looked like something that could work extremely well on our ewes, and we weren’t disappointed.  We flushed one ewe in our January group and one in our March group.  The January flush yielded a wether we thought had a chance to win the Black and White before selling to a family privately to try to win a Midwest State Fair, along with this elite female.  The March flush has our keeper ram and a very nice female.  This girl is hard to sell, but I know you have to try to showcase your best at these types of sales.   Her pedigree is backed by more winners that any other ewe line at our place, going back to one of our foundation Ballistic ewes from Brian Johnson.  Our daughter Stella showed the mom, grandmother was a successful show ewe, then the next three ewes in her pedigree all produced winners and stud rams.  I think stud bucks and donors need to be backed by successful females, not just window-dressing AI sire names.  I have the utmost confidence in this girl!
